Among the dresses on display in the rooms of the Foundation are those designed for famous and glamorous women, notably Jacqueline Kennedy, P, Princess Soraya of Persia, , and actresses of international fame including Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Ursula Andress and Ava Gardner. Of special interest are the beautiful dresses featured in Gardner’s films such as "The Barefoot Contessa".

The most well known piece in the collection is Linda Christian’s wedding dress made for her wedding in 1949 to Tyrone Power celebrated in Rome, an event that generated much media attention and contributed to launching the Sorelle Fontana style and affirming Italian high fashion on the world stage.
